Terms and Conditions for UK Services

Customer booking a UK service onlineThese service terms and conditions set out the basis on which services are provided to customers in the United Kingdom. By making a booking, requesting a quotation, or confirming an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. They are designed to be clear, fair, and practical, so that both parties understand their responsibilities before any work begins. Throughout this document, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the service provider, and references to “you” and “your” mean the customer who places the booking.

These conditions apply to all standard service arrangements unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Any special terms must be confirmed in writing and will only apply to the specific service they describe. If there is any conflict between these terms and a signed agreement, the signed agreement will take priority to the extent of the inconsistency. Headings are included for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

By using our services, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement and that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and not misleading. If you book on behalf of a business, organisation, landlord, or other party, you confirm that you have authority to do so and that the person or organisation you represent will be responsible for payment and compliance with these terms.

Service confirmation and scheduling detailsAll bookings are subject to availability and acceptance by us. A booking may be made through an online form, by telephone, by email, or through any other booking method that we make available from time to time. A booking is not confirmed until we have acknowledged it and, where required, received any deposit or advance payment. We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion where we are unable to carry out the service safely, lawfully, or within a reasonable timeframe.

When you make a booking, you must provide accurate details about the service required, the location, access arrangements, the type and quantity of items involved, and any special conditions that may affect the work. If the information you provide changes before the service date, you must notify us promptly. We may revise the quote, reschedule the booking, or withdraw from the arrangement if the revised information materially changes the scope or risk of the service.

Booking confirmation will normally be issued once the service has been accepted and any applicable deposit has been received. Confirmed dates and times are given in good faith, but they may be adjusted due to operational reasons, weather, staff availability, transport issues, or other matters outside our reasonable control. Where a change is required, we will aim to give reasonable notice and offer an alternative slot where practicable.

Payment and invoice for service workAll prices are set out in the quotation, booking summary, or service agreement issued to you. Unless stated otherwise, prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes, surcharges, permits, parking charges, congestion fees, specialist handling costs, or disposal charges. If any additional costs arise because of information you failed to disclose, inaccessible premises, unsafe conditions, or extra labour reasonably required to complete the service, we may charge you for those costs in addition to the original price.

Payment terms will be stated at the point of booking or in the quotation. In many cases, payment is required in full on completion of the service; however, deposits, staged payments, or advance payment may be requested for larger or higher-risk jobs. We accept payment only by the methods we specify from time to time. If a payment is declined, delayed, reversed, or otherwise not received, we may suspend further services until the outstanding amount is paid in full.

Where payment is not made on time, we reserve the right to charge interest and recover reasonable costs associated with collection, administration, or enforcement, to the extent permitted by law. Any payment made by you will first be applied to any overdue charges, then to interest or fees, and finally to principal sums due. You must not deduct or withhold amounts unless required by law or agreed by us in writing.

Cancellation rules depend on the type of service, the amount of preparation involved, and the notice you give us. If you wish to cancel or reschedule, you should do so as soon as possible. Where you cancel with sufficient notice, we may refund any payment already made, less any reasonable non-recoverable costs or a stated administration charge. Where significant planning, travel, labour allocation, or materials have already been committed, a larger cancellation charge may apply.

If you cancel at short notice, fail to provide access, are not available at the agreed time, or otherwise prevent us from carrying out the service, you may still be charged in full or in part, depending on the circumstances and any losses incurred. We may also cancel or suspend the booking if we reasonably believe the site is unsafe, the information supplied is inaccurate, the instructions are unlawful, or continuing would expose us or others to unacceptable risk.

Right to cancel under consumer law may apply to certain services booked at a distance, but this may be affected if you request that work begins within the statutory cancellation period. Where you ask us to start early, you may be required to acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed, or that you may owe a proportionate amount for work already carried out. Any such rights or limitations will be handled in accordance with applicable UK consumer legislation.

Liability and service responsibility conceptOur liability is limited to the extent permitted by law. We will perform the service with reasonable care and skill and will be responsible for direct losses caused by our proven negligence, breach of contract, or failure to use reasonable care and skill. However, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for business interruption, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, reputational damage, or indirect or consequential loss, except where such limitation is not allowed by law.

Nothing in these service terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded. If we are found liable for any claim arising from the service, our total liability will normally be limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question, unless a higher limit is required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

You are responsible for ensuring that the area where the service is to be performed is suitable, safe, and accessible. You must remove or secure valuables, fragile items, confidential materials, and hazardous substances unless we have specifically agreed to handle them. We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing defects, inadequate access, hidden faults, poor packaging, or the inherent nature of the materials or items involved.

Where our service involves removal, collection, transport, handling, sorting, recycling, or disposal of waste, both parties must comply with applicable waste regulations, environmental rules, and duty-of-care obligations in the UK. You must tell us honestly what the waste contains and whether it includes restricted, hazardous, contaminated, electrical, clinical, or otherwise regulated materials. We may refuse to collect items that cannot lawfully be handled under the agreed service or that require specialist treatment.

You confirm that any waste presented for collection is lawfully available to us and that you have the right to authorise its removal or disposal. You must not mix prohibited items with general waste unless we have expressly agreed to do so and have the necessary permissions or facilities. If additional sorting, separation, containment, documentation, or specialist disposal is required because of inaccurate information or improper presentation of waste, we may charge extra and/or suspend the service until the issue is resolved.

Waste transfer records, receipts, or other documentation may be issued where required by law or by our internal procedures. You agree to cooperate with any reasonable request needed to complete legal compliance, including confirming the source, nature, and quantity of the waste. If we believe waste has been misdescribed or illegally deposited, we may notify the relevant authorities and recover from you any losses, penalties, clean-up costs, or third-party claims arising from that misdescription or unlawful disposal.

We may suspend, delay, or terminate a service where necessary for safety, legal compliance, non-payment, suspected fraud, abuse, or breach of these terms. If termination occurs because of your breach, you remain responsible for sums already due and for any reasonable costs incurred up to the point of termination. If we terminate without fault on your part, we will refund any prepaid amounts for work not performed, less any unavoidable costs properly incurred.

You may not assign, transfer, or subcontract your rights under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or subcontract our rights and obligations where this does not materially disadvantage you and where it is lawful to do so. Any waiver of a breach must be in writing and will not operate as a waiver of any later breach. If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

Waste handling and legal compliance iconThese UK service terms and conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in law, operational practice, or service structure. The version that applies to your booking is the version in force when your booking is confirmed, unless a later change is required by law and must apply immediately. Any updates will not affect services already agreed unless required for legal or regulatory reasons.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, where applicable. If you are buying services for business purposes, you acknowledge that different rules may apply and that any statutory protections available to consumers may not apply to you. You are responsible for checking that the service you request is suitable for your intended use and for obtaining any permissions, consents, or approvals needed from third parties before the service takes place.

These conditions should be read alongside any quotation, invoice, booking confirmation, or service-specific instructions we issue. If a separate document states a different service level, scope, or payment arrangement, the separate document will apply only to that booking or project. No person who is not a party to these terms has any right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, unless we state otherwise in writing.

Governing law and jurisdiction: these terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law requires a different forum or where another part of the UK’s legal framework applies by operation of law.
